Last June - June 28, 2021

Last June
June 28, 2021

Hey Ma,

This week was a really cool week! I had an exchange with the AP (assistant to the president). It was a really fun time, we talked a lot about different speeches and talks given by Prophets and Apostles. It was really cool to learn so much information. We also had some good lessons that brought lots of cool insights through my studies. The APs also live with the office Elders and it was fun talking to them throughout the exchange.

Then the other great part of the week was a lesson we were able to have with a member referral. The lesson was so amazing. I felt the spirit so much and he was understanding the things being said. He
also believes that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet. I really enjoy being a missionary at this time.

That was the greats of the week. Love you all

Hey Familia - June 21, 2021

Hey Familia

June 21, 2021
Hola mi madre,

Esta semana fue bueno, we had a lot of exchanges, some fire member visits and new people to teach. We went on three exchanges within the last week and lots of great things happened through the exchanges. One of the things that happened was the miracle of finding someone new. I was with Elder Parmenter and we had some open time so we went to the mission office and look for mail. We found some mail and of course delivered it. From there we found some grey dots that we could stop by and visit. Well one house was a no show and vacant. Second was home but lied about visiting with missionaries. Now the third was home and open to us teaching her. But the funny thing is my Spanish isn't that great so it was a short message. And then hard dedication in getting a return appointment mostly because I couldn't tell if she was saying no. That was really fun. The other thing we had was zone Conference which was fun.
But nothing much else has happened besides the normal everyday life of being a missionary.

Mission Conference - June 7, 2021

 Mission Conference
June 7, 2021

Hey Ma,

I really enjoyed this week and all of the meetings that came with it. I was able to feel spiritual witnesses to all that was said and done. MLC was a great start to the week and I enjoyed the trainings given on repentance. I think it is important to remember that we can always be better than we were the last day.

Then the next day we had ZLC which was amazing. Following around the same kind of style of training we received earlier we gave it to our District leaders. It went great for our zone and all of the District Leaders had great council and ideas on how to help the zone be better. Then Friday was our Zone Council, it was great! I felt the spirit strongly that whole meeting. We discussed and taught our zone how we can do better and how we can improve. We still need to ask and receive feedback for how it went. I started off with reading my mission call. I hadn't fully realized that it can help strengthen a desire there and how the blessings promised if we do what we have accepted. Then we talked about principle based obedience instead of blind obedience and how there is so much joy to be found through this. And it all starts with repentance and that desire to be like Christ. To end the meeting we had the District leaders get up and share promised blessings for their specific District based on the mission commitment. Then closed with singing The Spirit Of God which brought the spirit so much more powerfully than before.

I have a new love for that song, cause as we sing it on the stand waiting for Elder Gong I could feel the Spirit come over me and was just so amazing. The other great thing was all of the lessons we were able to teach as well.

To share something from my studies goes back to the song The Spirit of God. In the first verse second line we read "The visions and blessings of old are returning," and it brought to think of the Book of Mormon especially the chapters where it prophesies of its coming forth. Which goes on to show that the visions of old have returned and more continue. The Book of Mormon is full of visions and blessings of old and now we can read them. While I was thinking on that song and those chapters. One prophecy came back up and it is in Chapter 27 of 2 Nephi where Isaiah says that a learned man won't be able to read a sealed book. That can apply to us today. If we read the Book of Mormon with just the intent to read and then call it good we won't truly learn something or with a secular mind it may be hard to understand certain chapters. But if we have the Spirit with us and a true interest then the Book of Mormon unfolds itself to us. I thought that was an interesting way of reading those verses and hearing that song.

That was the week of busy meetings

June (tomorrow) - May 31, 2021

May 31, 2021
June

Hey ma,

This was a busy week with lots of different things going on. We had some little exchanges, a bash, and service. Starting with the beginning of the week my old companion Elder Millett needed a companion for a short while because his companion was going to the departing dinner. Elder Johnson got the green light to go to Dominican Republic. So we picked him up and brought him around with us for the evening. It was a fun time. It was the same night the bash happened. We met this guy in the parking lot who had a couple questions and we set up an appointment to come back. We got to his apartment and told him we just wanted to teach him a short lesson. But it went into more questions and turned the lesson into a bible bash. Anything we said was just refuted and shot down. He wouldn't use logic or truly think about the scriptures. Just going word for word what the scripture says and no context to the scripture. Out of all of this I have a stronger testimony that the Church is true and the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

Then on Wednesday we got to celebrate a birthday for someone in our zone and it was a lot of fun to say happy birthday. Then the big transfer day came and we got to see a lot of people that we haven't seen for awhile. We also got to clean someone's house for service. And after that every house I have lived in would be considered clean compared to this house. But it was good to help clean the house. After all of those things the week had come to an end.

Mission Conference - May 24, 2021

May 24, 2021
Mission Conference

It's been two weeks since the last. P-day was moved around last week due to a Mission Conference. Last Monday to Thursday was meetings with Elder Tai of the seventy. It was A great spiritual experience and all the things we learned. Wednesday we were all together for the  meeting and it was great to see others from past areas. And the spirit was so strong as missionaries sang the hymns.

The other bigs of the week was the lessons we had. They were amazing and so spirit filled. We had the opportunity to go with the APs to the lesson because we are helping him transition to the YSA ward. It was amazing to see how unified we were as scriptures were shared and principles taught. But the greatest thing from this was how much power we held as we testified about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon.

This last week was a very spiritual and amazing week. For I know that Jesus is the Christ. That through His Atonement we can be cleansed and receive his help to overcome all problems that we may have. As it says in 2 Nephi 26: 24 "He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation." We are loved more than we can comprehend and I know that to be true.

Referral - May 10, 2021

Referral

Hello all

This week was a good started and ended with exchanges. I went down to Mt. Home and then another area in Boise east. One of those being on a bike. While we were on exchanges a miracle happened in our area. A guy in Boise referred himself to meet with us missionaries. So we called him and set a visit for Saturday night. We went over and started to teach him. He says he is Buddhist but we believe he is looking for any truth that will help him. He also came to church and had a good time.

Once again as a zone leader there are lots of meeting we get to attend and have. One of them was a comp study with the APs and STLTs and we met at the temple. We had a small opportunity to sit in the baptismal font and reflect. It was really good. We also had another opportunity to help clean at the temple and then walk around. It was really cool to feel that spirit and then see the beautiful artwork.

Those are the big highlights of the week.

Hello Y'all - May 3, 2021

May 3, 2021
Hello Y’all

Hey Ma,

This week was a fantastic week. It was very busy and lots of fun. We started with MLC then Zone Council to end it on Friday. Saturday we met an old Lt. Governor for the state of Idaho.

We'll begin by talking about the awesome lesson we had. So we had someone tell us the way to get in his house is by asking him about history.  So we called and set up a history lesson. We talked about the ancient stories in the books he had and the President Abraham Lincoln. He had also written a book about Lincoln and it is called Mr. Lincoln's Book. He used to be Attorney General and as I said earlier Lt. Governor.

Throughout the week we also did lots of service and met one guy that grew up out in the country and then moved to the city. He made this little piece of property into a piece of farmland.

I also want to share something spiritual that I learned through the week and it's about divine potential and uniqueness. I have learned that everyone has their role to play and in helping others out. We have been given differences on purpose so that our weaknesses may be strengthened and our pride humbled. To show this to the zone in zone council we made PB&J sandwiches. We put everyone in an assembly line and told them their unique role, they couldn't do any more or any less. It went very well and showed everyone that they do matter.

That was the week and it has been lots of fun.

Transfers - Apr 19, 2021

April 19, 2021
Transfers

Hey Ma,

Things are going good this week. It was transfer week last week so it got a little busy but not too much. My companion and I are staying together in the same area. We had the normal missionary activities of finding new people and teaching people.  We found three new people this week. One of them is named Margaret who we found through a member of the bishopric who was talking to his neighbor. Then the other two we found by talking to everyone we pass by in elevators or on the street. They have opened up more and willing to let us stop and share a message. Some of the people we are teaching speak Swahili so I am trying to learn a little bit more of a different language to communicate and teach the gospel. Then one other person we found is Islamic and interested in learning about new religions.

The other big thing of the week going with the title was transfer day. So as zone leaders we needed to make sure every missionary had a companion and way to get around on this day if they didn't have a car. It took a little thinking differently than I normally can do. With that we were able to take some Elders down to Mountain Home which is an hour outside Boise then do a companionship study with the new District Leader there. It was really cool and fun to go down there. I have also found many ways to connect the scriptures to everyday life. As leaders and people wanting to become like Christ. It has been a very fun and spiritual week as I read the Book of Mormon looking for those life applications.

We then went to go and do some service for a family in the zone and let me tell ya. Boise Idaho is filled with a bunch of funny older people. The stories they tell are so funny. I have learned a lot about listening and getting others to just talk about themselves by asking the right questions. The mission is full of learning opportunities.

That is the week for y'all not much besides the day to day find and work hard. I do want to share my testimony about the Book Of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. That it is for our time and our lives. As we read it we can learn more of Christ. We will come closer to him than reading any other religious book. We will have the power to overcome temptation and any problems we have in our lives. It can overcome the stresses of school, the feeling of doubt, uselessness. The Book of Mormon was written by prophets who were called of God. I want to leave with a quote by Boyd K Packer "The study of the [doctrine] of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than a study of behavior will improve behavior.” I say those things in the name of Jesus Christ amen

Studies

Hey Mom,

This week was a good week, we had service, lessons, and ministering opportunities.

This week we spent a lot of time working with the zone getting to know more of the missionaries in the zone. We started the week with a companionship study with the APs where we talked about how we can be great zone leaders. From there we made some appointments with some Elders in Mountain Home which is an hour outside of Boise. It was fun to go and help them clean their house and learn more about finding.

We then had some lessons with different people we are teaching and continue to look for new people to teach. I am getting better at using Facebook to find. We send out 20 second videos of an introduction to make it more personal.

Then we did some service throughout the week. First one being at the food pantry which is the same as in Nyssa. The second service was cleaning a member’s yard.

That is the week for ya. Not much besides the normal work of finding and teaching.

A Week

Hey Ma,

This is gonna be a short email. This week we had a lot of meetings and planning. As a zone leader you go to some meetings about being leaders. And as well as plan for zone councils and certain trainings.

Zone Council was very fun and spiritual. We gave a training about how we can come closer to Jesus Christ and build our relationship to him. We also had some really good lessons throughout the week teaching others more about Christ.

Conference week was an awesome weekend and the talks given focus us on Christ. I want to testify that he truly does love us. That we can receive His help as we pray and learn more about Him.

Have a great week y’all and remember that as we read the scriptures we can feel His Love

Crazy Week - Boise East

March 29, 2021
Crazy week – Boise East

Hey Mama and y'all,

This last week was a crazy week of events. Let's start with the first thing that happened and it was Tuesday. We were in a lesson teaching a family from Colombia speaking the good language of Spanish. One of my companion’s phones was buzzing but he kept muting it. (We are in a trio at this time) Well we get out and the notification says call from President Nygaard (mission president). Oh snap that must be important, so we sent a text saying sorry we are in a lesson when would be good to call. We continue on with our day and then receive that second call, but by this time I received an email from him saying that I have been permanently assigned to the Boise Idaho Mission. With that email in mind I thought he was calling to tell me that news but wait there is more. He asked me to become a zone leader since one of them went back to Brazil. So with that news I spent it packing some and transferring to a different area Friday morning. That is what made the week real crazy but lots of fun.

We were also able to have lots of lessons teaching others the Gospel and helping them build a relationship with their loving Heavenly Father. It has been lots of fun getting to know more people and how to build those communication skills. We have done lots of service as well these last few days from pruning bushes to moving boxes in the rain. But in all as a missionary it has been a fun week.

Now I want to share with you all my testimony of Jesus Christ. Last week now email was written but we got the opportunity to watch a concert film called the "Lamb of God" and it got me reflecting on what I know to be true. I want to testify that Jesus is the Christ. And as it says in the Restoration Proclamation "He is our Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer" I know that to be true. As well as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and living church that Jesus Christ is our chief cornerstone and the Book of Mormon is the keystone. This knowledge and testimony has come to me through studies of Christ's life and teaching in the Bible and more specifically the Book of Mormon. I share these things that I know in the name of Jesus Christ Amen

Nice Weather

One of the people we meet this week was a self-referral. As we were discussing the first lesson The Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ she shared how much it made sense to her compared to other things she has been taught. We are really excited to meet with her again.

We also lot a met of members and shared little messages of the gospel. It has been lots of fun meeting members and getting to know their stories as well. And hearing stories they have about the missions they served in. The other thing we got to do for the members was share our testimonies at church specifically in the language of Spanish.

So many great things are happening and lots of wonderful opportunities to learn something new every day. I am glad that I was called to serve a mission and assigned to Boise Idaho

Week 75 - March 8, 2021

March 8, 2021

Week 75

Hola a todos, I didn't know what to title this email, therefore fill in the blank with the amount of weeks out or a random number. However you feel.

This week has been a busy week, starting with some temporary exchanges, transfers, service, and lessons.

Tuesday we received a message from our branch president about someone that he would like us to meet. Welk at the time I was on an exchange due to my companion having a farewell dinner with the Mission President before he leaves for Chile. So here I am responding back in the Spanish I know "we would love to help" but in Spanish of course. Then drove over to the church building(I don’t do a lot of city type driving) and met the one President Lopez wanted us to which means we set up a visit as well.

Then we get on to our other days of the week, it was the normal go to lessons and teaching others how to come closer unto Jesus Christ. As well as calling multiple people to set up future appointments. There was one day it was back to back answers appointments everywhere, but unfortunately some have canceled and some have rescheduled. Key word is that they were rescheduled.

That is the highlights of the week and I want to know share about my studies. As I studied the Restoration proclamation (the one given to us by President Nelson) it brought to remembrance simple truths I have been taught, and it connects all points of the gospel so beautifully. I also made this connection with the first three lessons of the go preach my gospel. We have the restoration so we can learn more clearly the plan our loving Heavenly Father has laid out for us. And then we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ so we may know the path we need to take to return to Him. The conference talks from April 1971 had a recurring theme that I had noticed, which was how important it is to stay on the straight and narrow path, that there will be hard times but as we stay with it blessings will come in all aspects of our lives. I also read some Ensign articles that were in the institute manual and it takes about the Philosophy of Korihor and how we can counteract it. And it is as simple as reading the Book or Mormon and following our church leaders, The gospel is true and has stood the test of centuries, but the philosophy of an Anti-Christ is full of errors and contradictions. It is interesting to study deep into the scriptures and the words of the Apostles.

There is the week for y’all, I hope you have been enlightened and are having a great time in the weather!!

Hola a todos,

This week was a good week in finding new people to teach. We had set a goal to find two new people and to accomplish this goal we set out to call old investigators. On Tuesday one of them answered and we got an appointment set up, she had said any time after five and we had some things fall through and shuffle around, so we went a little after five, and no answer at the door. We left a little disappointed and went to get dinner, then once again we said some time made open, so off we went back to her house. This time she was home and answered. I learned a lesson from this one visit to be diligent and keep moving forward. If we do all that we can, we will be guided and blessed. It falls with being 100% responsible. Another example from this week was last night as we continued to call old investigators. We have been calling some of them all week trying to get an answer and set something up, then last night as we tried again with them, answers started to come. It was great to see the little things happen.

We also did lots of little service opportunities to help those around us. It was a lot of cleaning and moving. When we cleaned there was so many chemicals that Covid wouldn't stand a chance. It is always a good day to serve others.

The other cool thing we did this week was I gave the closing prayer in branch conference. I was very nervous but it all came together and was good. I am glad to have been called Spanish speaking and learn more.

That is the week for y’all and have a good week

Love y’all,

Equinox - Feb 22, 2021

February 22,2021
Equinox

Hola a todos,

This week was a good week in service, blessings, and looking for new people to teach. Let us begin with the weather. It is beautiful and sunny once again. The snow was melting and the short sleeve weather was again. Well it always was depending on the person.

As a missionary near the office you can have the special privilege of helping in special tasks. Such as driving around mission vehicles. On Tuesday there was a zone conference out in Caldwell Idaho. With that the mission vehicle coordinator needed to get a couple of the new vehicles down there and bring some rentals back. We were recruited for that job. Then on Wednesday we were recruited once again to pick up some m
ore equinox vehicles from the lot and take them back to the office. It is fun driving those new vehicles and a great way to help the office missionaries that do much for us.

The next great thing we get to do is help the community members. We had gotten a referral for someone that wanted to receive a blessing. We called them up and put down a time to go visit. It is always so great to offer a blessing to someone and help them come closer to Christ in faith.

The next great thing we get to do as missionaries is help bring others unto Christ. And throughout this week we made lots of calls, looking for those who are willing to meet us and want to learn more. On that note we now have some appointments for this week. The other thing we do to find new people is hold English Connect classes. Which are English learning classes. We teach about 25 Spanish speakers every Thursday. It is great to see all these people willing to learn something new. At the end of our lessons we then share a spiritual thought. Not many people leave during these and listen to all we say.

That is the week for yall and here is my spiritual thought for the week. It is about faith and moving forward when we may have questions. This is a quote from the story of Job.  “‘It is not the function of religion to answer all questions about God’s moral government of the universe, but to give courage (through faith) to go on in the face of questions he never finds the answer to in his present status. Therefore, take heed of yourselves, and as a wise world thinker once said, “If the time comes when you feel you can no longer hold to your faith, then hold to it anyway. You cannot go into tomorrow’s uncertainty and dangers without faith”‘

Have a great week y’all and stay warm

Snow Shovel - Feb 15, 2021

Feb 15, 2021
Snow Shovel

Going off of Zone conference, it was a great day of learning. I learned more about receiving revelation and the importance of personal study. It was definitely not a favorite of mine before the mission of reading scriptures, but as the mission progressed my love for the scriptures grew exponentially. I enjoy taking time to read the Book of Mormon.

Then the other highlights of the week was all the service we got to do. We painted that Spanish branch's president's laundry room. One thing I am going to be great at after my mission is painting and fence work for sure. Then with the great snow, we were able to build member trust and shovel driveways. It wasn't even that cold being from Northern Colorado.

That is the weeks updates and highlights. I hope y'all stay warm and have a great week

Love,

Elder Cormack

Mountains - Feb 8, 2021

Mountains
Feb 8, 2021

Hola a todos

I have a bit more to write in this week’s email. We continue to have lessons and offer service to others.

To start off this week, I got to drive a new Chevy Equinox right off the lot. It was a lot of fun to drive the new vehicle and help the vehicle coordinator bring them to the mission office. I also got to do some highway driving into the big city of Boise.

Then the rest of the week we have lessons with different people. Some Spanish speakers and some English. The language of Spanish is coming back really fast. It is always fun to teach people about the gospel and help others learn more. One lesson was with a Spanish speaker and oh man she spoke so fast. I had a hard time understanding her because it was fast speech. But I continue to learn more.

My week has been filled with lots of little things that make it great. Some being members we have visited and others the visits we had with other missionaries.

I would also like to share some from my studies of this week. According to the Guide to the Scriptures a miracle is -"An extraordinary event caused by the power of God." In this sense when Abinadi was able to stand before the high priests and withstand their words would be a miracle - To me Abinadi had the power of God with him and the gift of discernment and is a gift that I can have myself as a missionary.

Have a great week y'all

Camel Back - Feb 1, 2021

Camel Back
February 1, 2021

Hola a todos,

This week was a busy week. We did a lot of service with the office Elders. We also got to know more and more members as well as some investigators.

So the service we did was making valentine bags to hand out to investigators around the mission. In the bags there are pamphlets on families and a movie about Christ. It was lots of fun to make and get to know the Elders in the district.

My Spanish is getting better and better as the weeks go by. Boise is lots of fun. We go on walks and take in nature. And as we walk we are able show people that missionaries are out and the members that we are out working.

There is the  week for y’all. It was service and walks. In all still fun to be a missionary.

Central Boise - Jan 25, 2021

Central Boise
Jan 25, 2021

Hola a todos,

I am now in Boise. Two minutes away from the temple. What a great place to be. It is a lot different than Nyssa I would say. But no matter where I go it requires teaching and service.

So for my last week in Nyssa we continued to teach some of our investigators and let them know that I was headed out. We also continued to work with members and they gave us some referrals to visit. It was a great week in Nyssa.

Thursday was transfer day so I spent it packing all up that morning and then riding the truck back to Boise. It was fun as I met up some missionaries that I haven't seen in a while. I then got to my area and it was some visits to get to know some of the people.  And the dinner I received my first night was chicken and rice. It was great to be back in a Spanish area.  And to say it is coming back very fast.

Now Friday to Sunday was lessons with some members and continuing to get to know the wonderful area of Boise.

What I want to share this week from my studies is D&C 4. For  awhile I thought it was only missionaries. But as I studied and learned more it is for all members because it was revelation given before the church was even organized. So before missions were a thing. That was so cool to see. So remember if you have a desire to serve God, you are called to his Great Work. That's all for now.

To Boise - Jan 18, 2021

To Boise
Jan 18, 2021

Hola a todos,

This week was good. Lots of information to come. I found out that after almost 8 months I'm being transferred to Boise Central.

We also had some great lessons and service opportunities. We have been working closely with the members and gaining their trust. We have been able to see so many more referrals because of it. We visited this really cool family from California who had lots of really great questions. We also continued to help others progress to baptism.

I am excited for the chance to go to a new area and learn some different things. I am nervous because cities aren't really my favorite thing. Not much has happened this week. We continue to teach others of Christ and change lives in the process.

I enjoy the history of all things. As a child I loved going to a museum to learn history or Oregon trail sites. So when we get to read about Church History I love it. I enjoyed the words of Joseph Smith and how he overcame his trials. I learned more about prayer because of it. He felt worthless and that he messed up, so he goes to pray asking for knowledge. The words I love the most is he prayed with "full confidence" that he would see a vision like before. We can pray with that same faith to receive an answer. I also enjoyed the words of Malachi and the importance of our families. That is the other thing I have learned is this church is one of families.

That is the week for y’all.

A Busy Week - Jan 11, 2021

A Busy Week
Jan 11, 2021

Hola a todos,

This week was a very busy week. Something to do every hour and it felt great staying busy. We had lessons and visits with members. Interviews for baptism and with the President.

We have been getting more referrals from members as the days go by. They are developing this desire to love, share, and invite. On Wednesday President Wagstaff gave us a call and to see if we had an open afternoon. We were then able to move things around and went with him. We were able to find someone new and help the Spanish sisters find someone as well. It was great to see the desire in the members to be missionaries. We have also set up another return appointment to visit more people this week. I am excited to visit with all of them. During the ward missionary discussion we left them the invitation to think of someone they know that can be baptized in 30-60 days. And one name had come up that Bishop had given us as well. So we will definitely be working hard there.  Elder Micheli gave a great talk in church and we were able to get one of our friends to go that expressed disinterest a while ago. She came and stayed for all of it and Sunday school. It was great! We heard that she was gonna leave right after his talk but stayed and made friends in Relief Society. I love the Nyssa wards members and their desire to greet anyone who walks into their doors. We also have been setting up activities for the youth to invite their friends over. And help them get involved in this "Great Work". The theme this year is great. We also attended a youth fireside on it. The music for this year's theme is different than ever before. A lot more pop.

For my studies this week here is what I would like to share. He Come, Follow Me this week was great. I had learned of somethings that I haven't thought of. Especially with what people say is going on in the country of debates and arguments. Lots of confusion is rising. But we can do what Joseph Smith did, study it out as he visited different churches. Turn to the scriptures for they are the word of God. And I specifically enjoyed verse 12 "Never did any passage of scripture come with more power to the heart of man than this did at this time to mine." As we look for answers the spirit will guide us to those passages that will bring us the best guidance. And then we must pray on it as well. And ask for a confirmation on what we have learned or think is right to do. I also learned that we should take into consider the temptations Joseph Smith went through and the power of Satan. Cause after that he felt the love and warmth of God and Christ. He knew the difference between the two and can boldly testify that the vision he had was from God. It reminded me of Moses as we talked to God we were then visited by Satan and knew the difference there because of love. I am getting a great theme from all. Of this is Charity and Love the greatest attributes we can develop of Christ.

Hola a todos,

This week was wonderful. We continued teaching lessons and helping others come unto Jesus Christ. We also had a nice calm new years eve. It was like being in Chocope Peru. Not many people were out celebrating and could have a nice sleep. Nana sent several packages and and complete New Year's Even party, so we shared it with the district and had a virtual New Year's party.  We did a district video call and played some bean boozled. What an awful game if you get the wrong flavor. Let me tell you, dog food does not leave. You think you have overcome it and then bam it hits ya.

We also had a lot of good training on how we can teach of Jesus Christ more. They would like us to emphasize His doctrine in every lesson we teach and the points we bring up.

The area is doing great as well. We have the youth in Owyhee inviting friends to an activity next Monday. Once they can enter the church they can feel the spirit and the beauty of the building itself. And we have gotten more referrals from members and scheduling a time to go back. We have also been able to take a priest out and visit some members on the ward list and clean it up to see who still lives in the ward. While we were out visiting we found that some of the members have moved allowing a perfect opportunity to contact them and ask if they are interested in a message of Christ. We were also parked out front of a house while we were doing some tracting. There was a kid sitting at his window who would hide every time we looked over at him and we looked over because he knocked on the window himself.

That was the week. It was great like every week on a mission is. But it was filled with the usual lessons and service we do. Every so often we have something really big and fun. There is also just little things that are funny.

Christmas package was very late... mom was upset.  We celebrated later - like the Wisemen.
